Module 6 E4 Esting

Progression and Time Management

Time Plan:

I created a timetable of how long it would take for me to do my e4 E-sting. I gave myself 3 weeks at most and at least 3-4 hours a day to create the assets, artwork, animation, editing, and stylising. I believe this worked efficiently as when I prepared my timetable I made sure I followed it every day and stuck to it. It has been difficult to manage my time efficiently with the other prior modules I have to catch up with but having a time plan has really worked out well.

Document Daily/Weekly Progress:

It went very well and I enjoyed doing it so much that I did my project within a day, so I was all finished within day. The only task I need to do is to complete my write up and making sure my e4 esting was rigged on cinema 4d. My progress for this module worked out very well and because I did it in such quick time, I had more time to look into my other modules that I’ve been  a little more behind it. Therefore everything worked out well.

Uploaded Video

This is the E4 animation I have created for the esting competition  I'm very proud of it as it took a lot of work and effort to get it finished but I believe it shows exactly what the clients wants and ticks of the requirements.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Initially, I had an idea that I would have broken by three hidden balls to make it look more effective. But this however wasn’t working, I assigned all the right components onto goal and pole within cinema 4d but it simple wasn’t working. It turned out it looked just as effective by it all crashing together without programming three hidden balls to do it. So even though I didn’t resolve this problem I was able to have just as effective effect. I will in the future look into this problem and resolve it as I felt I was doing it correctly.

Progression

My progression though this has been very successful. I was able to follow all the requirements and get everything completed on time. It was very difficult as with me starting late in the course I had a lot of work that needed to be caught up on but I'm very happy with my overall work. I feel I have achieved my goals and aims and done a successful job in creating a animated advert in cinema 4d.

Personal Development Plan

The objectives for week 1 are to make sure my idea is in place and know what I want to do to the character, what type of movement it will do extra. Week 2 I will work on the development of of my project and draw out my ideas into a storyboard.Week 3 will be creating a 3D animated clip in cinema 4d and make sure it looks how I've drawn it out and keep the same basic idea instead of making it too hard for myself.

Inspiration Work

I put a lot of research into examples over the previous year entries to give myself a better idea on how to create an E-STING. By looking at examples of style, layout and development it has given me my own ideas how to create my own E-STING and has made me realise which idea I want to do and how it is going to be animated. The visual styles of the animations have inspired and informed my work.

I liked this idea as its basic concept like mine and works so well. This really influenced me to do my own. I believe it follows all the requirements that the client wants and lures you into watching it.

Reflection and Evaluation

Overall I found the project manageable but hard as I have other modules to do as well as this one but I felt that I have managed my time very well so I was able to get on with other assignments; t his helped a lot that I did it in such a quick time. I’ve had a lot more pressure with having more modules to do by I think having the pressure has helped me to do better and made me prepared if I get that amount of work all at one time.

I believe I did achieve my overall aims and objectives as I was set out to do as much hard work as possible. My main aim was to get this completed and working and Im proud as I think it looks really good and my peers and family think so too. Its nice to see Ive done something like this and I can hopefully show everyone else. My animation was fit for purpose as it ticked off the requirements and can be shown live on television any time of the day as with it being a basic jigsaw anyone can watch that.
